New Poll Shows Just 29 Percent Of Americans Approve Of Donald Trump’s Firing of James Comey

A recently released poll shows that only 29% of Americans approve of Donald Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey. The poll was conducted by NBC News and the Wall Street Journal.  The poll shows that 38% disapprove of Comey’s firing and 32% do not care about the matter enough to give an opinion.

Among those who stated that they had either seen or heard a lot about the situation, 53% said that they disapproved of Trump’s actions.

The NBC/WSJ poll was conducted on May 11-13, after Trump’s dismissal of Comey.

The poll also reflected that 38 percent of Americans hold a positive view of the president, while 52 percent have a negative view. The poll also showed that 57% of Americans have no faith in Trump as president.

Thirty percent of those polled say that Trump’s decision to fire Comey has given them a less favorable impression of him as president.

The poll revealed that Forty-six percent of Americans, including 74 percent of Democrats, say that they believe that Trump fired Comey to slow down the FBI investigation of Russia’s involvement in the 2016 election.

When asked if they prefer that Congress or an independent commission or a special prosecutor investigate Russia’s involvement 78% supported either an independent commission or a special prosecutor. When it comes to hiring a special prosecutor rumor has it that Barrack Obama is available.

Michelle Obama Speaks Out About Donald Trump

When it comes to politics Michelle Obama has been quiet since leaving the White House, but all of that changed as the former First Lady spoke recently at a health conference.

“Think about why someone is OK with your kids eating crap,” Michelle said bluntly.

One of Michelle Obama’s greatest legacies was her effort to beat childhood obesity. Donald Trump has taken steps to erase all of her hard work. Earlier this month, Trump froze regulations that cut sodium and increase whole grains that are served to children at school.

“We have a lot more work to do, for sure, but we’ve got to make sure we don’t let anybody take us back because the question is, where are we going back to?” Michelle stated as she addressed an audience at the Partnership for a Healthier America Summit.

“This is where you really have to look at motives, you know. You have to stop and think: why don’t you want our kids to have good food at school? What is wrong with you?” Michelle asked referring to Donald Trump.

Her statements received loud applause from the audience that packed a hotel ballroom. Liberated from her role as the First Lady, Michelle was much more blunt and passionate then she was in her role of First Lady.

“And why is that a partisan issue? Why would that be political? What is going on? You know, now that’s up to moms. Moms, think about this. I don’t care what state you live in. Take me out of the equation. Like me, don’t like me, but think about why someone is OK with your kids eating crap. Why would you celebrate that? Why would you sit idly and be OK with that?” Michelle asked passionately.

“Because here’s the secret: if somebody is doing that, they don’t care about your kid, and we need to demand everyone to care deeply about kids. That’s all we have. So, we should be driving this and every elected official on this planet should understand: don’t play with our children. Don’t do it,” she added.

Besides changing regulations for school lunches the Trump administration has postponed rules instructing restaurants and grocery stores to put calories counts on their menus.

Speaking on Trump delaying that decision Michelle Obama stated, ‘You shouldn’t know what you’re eating.’ Think about that. Stop there, think about that. ‘You shouldn’t know what you’re eating.’ You’re OK with that? Do you know people who are OK with that? I mean, I just find myself thinking, this isn’t my fight, you know, this is where you’ve got to look yourself in the eye.

“We need to look our neighbors in the eye and kind of go: ‘What is going on?’ Because this just isn’t that complicated, you know. Just tell me what’s in my food. Why is that a problem? So, you have to ask yourself, what’s going on, because I don’t get it. I don’t understand it.”

“‘Keep families ignorant.’ That’s all I’m hearing. ‘You don’t need to know what’s in your food. You can’t handle that, Mom. Just buy this, be quiet, spend your money, you buy this, don’t ask us about what’s in your food, you know.’ How does that feel? How does that feel? ‘This isn’t information that you should know. We shouldn’t change a label to make it clearer and easier for you to just break down what you’re buying.”

Clearly, Trump is anxious to erase all the good that the Obama’s did while in the White House, but Michelle Obama has made it clear she will not sit back quietly and watch him destroy their hard work.

Donald Trump Asks Why There Was A Civil War

During an interview that will air today, Donald Trump questioned why there was a civil war. He even went as far as to suggest that former President Andrew Jackson would have prevented the war had he served later.

“I mean had Andrew Jackson been a little bit later you wouldn’t have had the Civil War. He was a very tough person, but he had a big heart,” Trump said.

“He was really angry that he saw what was happening with regard to the Civil War, he said, ‘There’s no reason for this,’” Trump told Salena Ziti of the Washington Examiner.

Andrew Jackson died in 1845 and the Civil war began in 1861.

Trump went on to question why the United States did not solve the Civil War.”People don’t realize, you know, the Civil War, if you think about it, why?” Trump asked. “People don’t ask that question, but why was there the Civil War? Why could that one not have been worked out?”

Trump even compared his presidential campaign to Jacksons. (I’m sure Jackson is rolling over in his grave.)

“My campaign and win was most like Andrew Jackson, with his campaign. And I said, when was Andrew Jackson? It was 1828. That’s a long time ago,” Trump said.

There were 2 million slaves in 1830; by the time the Civil War came, there were more than 4 million held in bondage.  If Donald Trump does not see the moral importance of the Civil War that speaks volumes about the type of person that he is.

Donald Trump Says He Thought Being President Would be Easier Than Being A CEO

During a recent interview with Reuters, Donald Trump stated that being president is overwhelming and not something he was prepared for. Going into in he believed being president would be much easier than being a CEO of a major corporation.

Trump stated that he often feels like he is in a “cocoon,” he misses driving and that he was surprised to discover how hard being president is.

He also reflected on his first 100 days saying, “I loved my previous life. I had so many things going,” Trump said. “This is more work than in my previous life. I thought it would be easier.”

During the interview, Trump showed that he is still obsessed with the election and refuses to admit that Hillary Clinton had bigger numbers. In the middle of a conversation about Chinese President Xi Jinping, Trump suddenly stopped and began passing out what he said were the latest figures for the 2016 electoral map.

“Here, you can take that, that’s the final map of the numbers. It’s pretty good, right? The red is obviously us,” Trump boasted.

Trump’s issues with being president may stem from his lack of compassion. Many people have stated that Trump has no heart.

“In business, you don’t necessarily need heart, whereas here, almost everything affects people,” Trump said. “So, if you’re talking about health care — you have health care in business but you’re trying to just negotiate a good price on health care, et cetera, et cetera. You’re providing health. Here, everything, pretty much everything you do in government, involves heart, whereas in business, most things don’t involve heart.”

Donald Trump’s First 100 Days Were the Worst in the History of the Presidency

There is no doubt that Donald Trump’s actions as president have weakened our country. Trump’s first 100 days have been filled with twitter rants, an obsession with a wall and threats to other countries. He has literally made America a laughing stock.

As president Trump has made no noteworthy progress on any piece of legislation. His health care bill was an embarrassing disaster. His border wall has been a giant temper tantrum. His immigration ban was a worldwide nightmare.

Trump promised to drain the swamp and instead, he filled it with even more vile predators. He has only made nominations to fill 50 of 533 positions in the executive branch. Ninety percent of the top jobs are still waiting on nominations.

Trump’s presidency has been one scandal after another. No other administration has been distracted by scandals as much as Trump’s has.

Trump has no real foreign policy. Over the past few weeks and his spats with North Korea, Syria and Canada it appears that Trump is an isolationist. Right now, no one seems to know, not even Trump himself, who he sees as an ally and who he sees as a rival.

Trump is without a doubt the least popular president ever. His approval rate barely hovers at 43% and had dropped to 41%.

Though he is incapable of coming up with a health plan of his own, or of filling administration seats, or of not babbling like a child on Twitter, or of not wasting our tax dollars on vacations and golf games he is still the most powerful man in the United States. If that doesn’t scare you nothing will.

The Wall

Donald Trump is so obsessed with building his wall that he will sacrifice vital services for the elderly and children to do so. He’ll throw Elmo under the bus and take the only real meal many elderly individuals get away. He’ll try to shut down planned parenthood and bring back the coat hanger abortion all to build this wall. He’s willing to take away the only nutritious meal many children all across the US have by ending the free lunch program.

Building this border wall would be a terrible example of diplomacy. It would create an even more strained relationship with Mexico. Mexico is one of our closest allies and trading partner. Why would we even consider jeopardizing that?

There is no doubt the wall would be an incredible waste of money. It has been estimated that the wall would cost taxpayers more than $25 billion. With $25 billion we could keep Meals on Wheels running, keep PBS on-air, build over 1,000 new elementary schools or send 300,000 veterans to college or we could install enough renewable energy sources to run 5 million homes. Simply put we could help hardworking Americans get ahead.

This wall isn’t about keeping the “bad guys” out its all about feeding his over inflated ego so he can point his tiny orange fingers at it and say “I built that.”

Since Donald Trump’s Inauguration The Secret Service Has Spent More Than $35,000 On Golf Cart Rentals

A new report by CBS News shows the Secret Service had spent more than $35,000 of tax payer’s money on golf cart rentals at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Largo resort since Trump took office.  This report comes just as Trump is planning another weekend vacation at the Florida resort after spending three days there last week during Easter.

Investigators with CBS News reviewed purchase orders showing that so far $35,185 has been spent renting golf carts during Trump’s weekly visits to Palm Beach, Florida.

Since his inauguration, Trump has played many rounds of golf in Florida and Virginia. Throughout his campaign and before Trump had made harsh comments about President Obama playing rounds of golf and even pledged that he would not be seen playing golf because as president he would be too busy working to make America great again to play golf.

Trump has come under fire by the media for his frequent weekend vacations that so far, have cost more than $20 million. At this rate, Trump will soon surpass the amount Barack Obama spent on vacations during his eight years in office. Trump will literally have paid more to play golf in just a few months than Barack Obama did on vacations in eight years.

US Aircraft Carrier Went In Wrong Direction For Days

Two weeks ago, Donald Trump and his administration claimed that an aircraft carrier was deployed and headed toward North Korean waters. Those claims were false because the aircraft carrier was going the wrong direction.

On April 8, because of growing tensions between the United States and North Korea, the USS Carl Vinson set off north to the western Pacific. The slow approach toward North Korea was supposed to be a show of force directed at Kim Jong Un.

According to U.S. National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster the next day the group was being rerouted from Singapore toward the Korean Peninsula as another show of force.

While the show of force was taking place Donald Trump ranted on about the threat of North Korea. Trump warned “we are sending an armada, very powerful. We have submarines, very powerful, far more powerful than an aircraft carrier.”

“We have the best military people on Earth. And I will say this: He is doing the wrong thing,” Trump continued on.

His bragging looks pretty silly now after Defense News pointed out on Tuesday that the photos released by the US Navy show the aircraft carrier passing through the Sunda Strait in Indonesia, about 3,500 miles from the Korean Peninsula, last Saturday. It was moving away from North Korea when U.S. officials said it was moving toward the peninsulas a “show of force.”

Since the mistake was pointed out the ship has changed direction and it will arrive near North Korean waters far later than threatened.

The Trump administration blames the incident on miscommunication. The White House has not responded to questions about the incident.

Trump Sends Aircraft Carriers To Edge Of North Korean Waters

As if sending 59 Tomahawk missiles to Syria without Congress’ consent wasn’t enough Donald Trump has deployed aircraft carriers toward North Korean waters.

Kim Jon Un, the unstable leader of North Korea, who fired a missile test earlier this month, has let the world know he is aware the carriers are headed his way. Trump and his administration have decided that it is wise to deploy the carriers as a “show of force.”

One would think that showing an unstable leader with an itchy trigger finger “a show of force” probably isn’t the wisest idea. China has also taken notice. Trump’s Syrian strike is most likely left China uneasy due to the rough rhetoric on North Korea from members of Trump’s administration.

NBC recently reported that part of Trump’s North Korea policy is to kill Kim Jong Un. China will now take the US’s threat to go alone after North Korea much more seriously now.

The carriers now close to North Korean waters includes USS Carl Vinson, with the support from several missile destroyers and cruisers.

North Korea continues to show signs that it is prepared to do another nuclear test and a “show of Force” could cause them to move things forward quickly. It is believed that North Korea may very have a nuclear weapon atop a missile that can reach the United States. If this is true perhaps we may want to reconsider this “show of force.”
